I really like the purpose of Dress For Success and what they are doing to help women gain employment so I wanted to share this event that Dressbarn is doing. Starting February 24 and through Feb 27th, you can drop off your professional attire which will be donated to women re-entering the workforce.
What a great thing to do on a cold and snowy day, clean out your closet so you can donate it to this worthy cause!
Here’s a little more information:
The ninth annual clothing donation program will run from February 24-27, with drop-off sites at all 837 dressbarn locations. The national apparel retailer has teamed up with Dress for Success, the international non-profit organization that supports female economic independence to collect articles of professional attire, which in turn will be donated to women looking to gain a job or trying to re-entering the workforce.

“This program provides the initial, yet vital, step of arming women with the proper attire that gives them the confidence to succeed in getting a job,” said Vivian Behrens, SVP and chief marketing officer at dressbarn. “Our ‘Send One Suit’ weekend asks our customers to donate a suit or any professional clothing that can be used by someone less fortunate who is looking to better their lives. The last thing a woman should have to worry about during a job search is whether her wardrobe will prevent her from being seriously considered for employment.”
Like I said, I really like the idea of this program and how they are helping women. It’s such a worthy cause, so please consider donating. Your items can make a big difference to a woman going back to work!
