Unfortunately, some of this spending put me over budget for the month and now I need to find a quick way to get my budget back into the green before the end of the month.
Return as Many Items as Possible
Some of the purchases I made cannot be returned and others would cost so much to return that it’s not really worth it. But I am planning to return as many items as possible since several the ones I ordered online have free return shipping and no questions asked return policy.
Sell Stuff Online
I bought a few things on clearance so they can’t be returned, so instead I will be trying to sell them online for as much as possible. There are several options to try for selling online without having to pay seller’s fees or shipping, which you’d have to pay if you used Ebay or something similar.
I will be listing a few things on my local area’s Facebook Buy, Sell, Trade group and I’ll probably cross post them to Craigslist too.
This will help me reach more potential buyers. I will also be looking around my house to find other things I was meaning to get rid of anyway and trying to sell them as well.
Ask for Odd Jobs
If you still need more money, try calling neighbors, friends, or extended family to ask if they need help with any odd jobs.
I’d be willing to help someone with an outdoor landscaping project, babysitting, pet sitting, running errands, and lots of other little odd jobs to help raise some fast cash.
Sell Your Plasma
I’ve never done this, but a lot of my friends in college would go and sell their plasma for $50 at a local clinic when they needed money to help make ends meet.
If you decide to pursue something like this, just make sure the place you are going is legit and that you are comfortable with selling some of your body parts.
Look for Extra Work at Your Side Hustle
Since I already have a couple of different side hustles, I’m going try to use them to get some extra money quickly. Asking for a few extra hours at my part time job would quickly solve my budget deficit this month.
If there are no extra hours available, I’ll try hitting up my network of freelance clients to see if they need any extra help with running their businesses or other one-off projects I can do.
Writing a couple of extra articles or performing some odd VA tasks can help you make some more money pretty quickly.
What are some other ways you can think of to make fast cash?
