In my opinion, movies aren’t even a good place to go on a date because you don’t get to talk to the person at all. Free dates can not only be good for the wallet, but they can also be just as amazing as dates that cost a lot of money.
Below are 5 cheap date ideas that you should try!
1. Go on a hike.
Hikes are not only amazing for your body and health, but they can also be stress relieving on the mind. No matter where you live, there are most likely hikes everywhere to choose from. I live in Colorado which makes it easily available to find a new place to hike nearby. It can be a little risky to go on a hike with someone if you aren’t sure about them since you’ll most likely be stuck with them for a few hours, so make sure you are bringing someone you are pretty sure about.
2. Go to a yoga studio or another place such as Crossfit or kickboxing and use their free one day or week pass.
This can potentially be a great experience for both of you and you might even find your new favorite hobby in the meantime. You can motivate each other while working out and grow even closer during the workout. If you guys end up failing during the workout, at least you will both have something to laugh about later on. There’s nothing better than laughing at our mistakes and what we are bad at!
3. Go to the library.
If you’re into reading (which I am), take your date to the local library, or your cities largest library and simply get lost. You can share book recommendations and really get an idea of what the other is into. This date idea isn’t obviously for everyone and it is a lot different, but it can be potentially awesome. You can really learn a lot from a person by knowing what they read.
4. Take a stroll around your downtown area or go for a walk at a lake nearby.
I’ve found these dates to be the most relaxing and I’ve also had the deepest conversations when we were around a peaceful area. There’s absolutely no distractions and it’s just you and the person (if you’re in a park or lake area, not the downtown area).
5. Figure out free things to do in your area.
All you have to do is type in ‘free things to do in —-‘ and a ton of places will come up. This will give you a long list of ideas of places to go to.
Are there other places you have in mind that are free or inexpensive to take your next date?
