I’m serious. This was not a junk account, but the account I looked at everyday. My main email account had 24,000 messages in it. I couldn’t take it anymore!
I got in the really bad habit of just ignoring the messages I didn’t want. Instead I searched through my inbox to find the messages I wanted to read. Then I got to thinking about it. Isn’t this my inbox? Shouldn’t I only be receiving messages I WANT to receive?! Seems so obvious, doesn’t it?
Having a cluttered inbox made me feel uneasy. I felt disorganized and afraid I would miss something.
I spent about 3 hours last night deleting and unsubscribing to over 14,000 messages. Some of these I was able to do in bulk, some I wasn’t. I’ve made a commitment now to clean up my inbox and unsubscribe to messages I don’t want to read.
It feels so nice right now! Even though I have 9,000 more emails to clear out (hopefully more in bulk) unsubscribing to junk has helped out a lot. I noticed a big difference today, my phone is not blinking every 5 seconds with a new message!
Do you have clutter in your inbox? Do you have more than 24,000 messages in your inbox? If so, get rid of it! Start unsubscribing and clearing out the junk. You won’t miss the ads and you won’t be tempted to spend your money on something you don’t need!
